Clem Flanagan's '88 GT LT1 Fiero

My car was purchased in April 1993 with 66,000 miles on the odometer. After putting on close to 90,000 more miles, it was time to upgrade to a V8. I purchased a 1996 LT1 from a car that was hit from behind for $ 1000. The engine at that time had 50,000 miles on it. After going through the engine and cleaning it up, I shipped it and the car to Archie. He received it the day before Thanksgiving and I got it back on Jan. 6, 2003. Since 1993, I have upgraded to 17 inch wheels and tires, pin stripes, repaint in 1998, Mr. Mike's leather seats, a very short shifter, wood grain dash, digital gages, sculptured headliner in tweed, 12 disc c/d player, subwoofer behind the r/h seat in addition to the factory sub and a nice set of air horns (I live in Miami). A complete set of poly bushings were installed shortly after getting the car back and that made a big change in handling. As for the LT1, if you are considering a V8, go ahead and do it. Like my son said, what are you waiting for?
