General Information
This conversions fits in all '83 thru '93 Ford Mustang Convertibles.
As you may know, there are currently sveral conversion packages available to convert the Chrysler LeBaron to this type of body kit. However, as you may have guessed, there are several reasons that the Mustang is a better choice for this conversion.
Some of those reasons are as follows:
Accuracy, the Mustang chassis allows a more proportionally correct conversion. A close inspection of conversions on the LeBaron chassis will reveal. Among other things, a hood that is way too short; the front quarter panel is about 7" short; the body height at the "A" pillar is about 4" too tall; and the LeBaron passenger compartment is too long.
Performance, as everyone knows, virtually any level of performance can be achieved with the Mustang chassis, including power and handling. The LeBaron chassis only offers you a 4 or 6 cylinder engine and virtually no aftermarket performance parts.
Donor car cost, a good condition Mustang chassis are often available for less than a comparatively equipped LeBaron chassis.
The cost of a completed car is virtually the same on a Mustang or LeBaron chassis.
The Mustang features a front engine and rear wheel drive chassis layout, just like a real car. Any performance modification that you can make to a stock Mustang can also be made to this conversion.
Reliability, it's no secret that a bad Ford is more reliable than a good Chrysler.
Serviceability, as with a Chevy, I believe that there are very few mechanics who don't know how to fix a Ford and that virtually all car parts stores carry in inventory just about any part needed to fix a Ford.
Most Importantly, When you finish your car, you won't have to make excuses as to the desirability of your donor car choice.

This conversion allows you to retain all of the stock Mustang safety features, including the energy absorbing bumpers and the door beams.
The Mustang drive line and suspension can be left stock or modified as you would any other Mustang.
You can choose your wheels from the wide range of wheels currently available for the Mustang, or, with our optional wheels adapters, you can use any aftermarket wheel that any other SL owner might use.
This conversion requires no major changes to the Mustang chassis
You can use a Mustang that has some crash damage as your donor car.

We can build this conversion on a Mustang chassis that you supply for a total cost of $15,900.00.
This conversion would take about 2 weeks to complete, and is by appointment only.

There are currently several completed cars in stock for immediate delivery. A current listing is below. The cost of these "turn-key" cars varies depending on the price and options of the donor car. An older Mustang chassis can sometimes cost $ 4000.00 or less. A newer Mustang chassis can cost $ 11000.00 or more, depending on the condition and equipment. This variation is cost is the biggest single factor in the final price of a "turn-key" car.
