Wade Custance's V-8 Fiero

This is Wade Custance's car and some of what he has to say.

Thanks for all the fun your V8 conversion has brought me. I still recall the time you took to tell me stories of other fieroites that installed 350's n such in their Fieros. I can't say that at times owning a V8 Fiero hasn't been difficult at times but it is a labour of luv. People up here in parts of Canada are not up on these little cars! I can't say how much i enjoy when a mechanic hears my car and i pop the deck-lid and the guy just sits there with one hand on each rear fender with his head goin back and forth from one wheel well to the other in total disbelief.......The the th guys at the garage are goin to calll mmeee nnnaammmes and laugh at me when i tell em what a seen.

When people see my car. I tend to forget the time that I blew the waterpump drive drag racing some car that damn near flipped over every time its crank turned. The guy was pissed there he was sitting at the starting line smoking his tires and there I was up the track. Ya he beat me in the end of the race, cause my water pump drive broke but he was pissed off as hell cause I made him look really bad at the start! O ya it was not your engineering that made the water pump drive malfunction it was mine! the heads of the bolts on the crank pulley where too close to the frame rail.... I'd never drag raced before and all that traction made the engine move those few thousands of an inch to and pewf that was all there was too that!.......But that water system of yours worked great!!!!! I'm electric waterpump now. I was having probs getting my Fiero to cool with it, then i met the Vision Doc on IRC that told me he runs his with out a thermistat cause the electric pump only produces 19 lbs of pressure and that the water is not circulating properly. Goin to try this

Your #1 Canadian fan! I'm not a mechanic but i do all my own wrench'n, means some places scared to touch a beast like mine.
